British Athletes Commission Announces Interim Chief Executive
The British Athletes Commission, the organisation which represents Great Britain’s elite athletes, has announced Sally Lockyer will be its Interim Chief Executive.
Lockyer will take strategic lead of the organisation in mid-October and will guide the organisation through a significant period of change including responding to a stakeholder review and the Duty of Care report produced by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson. Her role will also be to maintain the core functions of the BAC in order support athletes through the upcoming winter Olympic and Paralympic cycle alongside the day to day support and advice to the entire membership.
Bringing 20 year’s extensive sport management experience with a record for delivering creative strategies, innovation, change leadership and continuous organisational performance across non-profit governing bodies, federations, commercial sport, major events, leisure and entertainment sectors Lockyer is in a prime position to effect change within the organisation that is needed in order to respond to the current need from within the system.

Sally Lockyer has joined the BAC as Interim Chief Executive Officer for a period of 5 months. The BAC Board will appoint a permanent CEO in 2018.
