Chair of the BAC, Vicki Aggar, Begins Maternity Leave

As many of you will know, Vicki Aggar has been both Chair and Interim CEO of the BAC. Vicki has handed over the reins to Dougie Dryburgh (Vice-Chair) who will be Acting Chair whilst Vicki is on maternity leave. Vicki intends to return in the Spring and we wish Vicki and her family all the very best with the upcoming new arrival.

I began my new role as Interim CEO at the British Athletes Commission on 23rd October. I am particularly proud to be joining the team and our experienced Board, and working collaboratively and cohesively with all sports’ stakeholders. We are committed to providing all our athlete members with independent, confidential advice and support across a range of topics; to develop the network of athlete representatives and being the voice of the athlete to represent you and your views at the highest level.

It is both a challenging and exciting time to join the BAC, as we set about delivering transformational change within the remit of UK Sport’s independent review - the “Athlete Voice and Representation” survey and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson’s Duty of Care Report.

I look forward to working with you all and meeting many of you in due course.
