The BAC and a group of athlete agents met with UK Sport and the BOA last Friday (24th April) to discuss the issues surrounding the athlete deed document.

It was agreed that athletes should not be put under pressure to sign the document while there were still ongoing discussions as to how various clauses within it would be interpreted.

UK Sport subsequently wrote to all National Governing Bodies on Friday, informing them that they should not put athletes under pressure to sign the deed if they had concerns over it.

A positive discussion was held were agents and athletes concerns were listened to. UK Sport have agreed to come back to all parties this week with a proposed solution, and it is hoped that the outstanding issues can be resolved shortly.
