On Friday 21st Nov the BAC will launch a new membership and benefits scheme to Great Britains elite athletes. The aim is to provide a suite of benefits that will lower the cost of living for the athletes and generate independent income for the BAC.

Two years ago the BAC identified the need to start generating it's own income so that it would not have to rely solely on lottery funding through UK Sport to provide services to the athletes. It was decided that the best way to achieve this would be through charging athletes a fee to access a suite of benefits negotiated with suppliers and partners by the BAC. The BACs core services of advice and representation will remain free to all athletes on a world class programme.

In addition to current athletes, a number of the benefits will be available to retired (alumni) athletes and to world class programme coaching and support staff for an annual membership fee. Details can be found here
