The Voice of Great Britain's Elite Athletes
To be eligible to be a member of the BAC is to be recognised as an elite athlete in High Performance Sports and have competed at international or GB level. BAC members are predominantly athletes in Olympic and Paralympic sports but not exclusively so and if athletes are unsure about their eligibility they should contact us.
All athletes that are recognised by UK Sport as being on the World Class Programme are given automatic membership of the BAC and reward for achieving that status. Athletes who are not on a World Class Programme but compete within one of the BAC's recognised sports can still apply for the individual membership at a cost of £60 per annum.
Alternatively the BAC will offer a group membership rate for athletes of £50 pa for groups of 10 athletes or more and this could be funded by a NGB or an Institute of Further Education that is a base for individuals wishing to continue their education whilst still in elite sport.
Please contact us for more information about membership of fill in the registration form.
WIN a mattress worth £2,200 when you sign up with the BAC this summer
As part of the BAC’s special offer to new members, our generous benefits provider Mammoth is giving away a mattress to one lucky individual. The winner will be able to choose any model of any size from the award-winning Mammoth range, worth up to a massive £2,200.
But don’t worry, even if you don’t win, you will be entitled to 40% off Mammoth mattresses as part of your BAC membership.
Through the use of medical grade foam and innovative pressure relieving cell technology, Mammoth has developed the ultimate health mattresses – and the only range clinically proven to enhance sleep.
As all athletes know, quality sleep and recovery time can make the difference between winning and losing, which is why we are trusted by world class athletes from a broad range of sports. Mammoth benefits include:
“Having a Mammoth mattress has given me peace of mind that when I’m at home I know I’ll sleep well, which is vital for recovery. Mammoth mattresses are incredibly supportive and comfortable” – Greg Rutherford, Olympic Gold Medallist
“I suffer with arthritis in multiple joints in my body, and even though I have only had my Mammoth mattress for a few months I can already feel the difference. There’s much less back pain when I wake up, which means I feel healthier and more prepared to throw myself into the day’s training” – Pamela Relph, Paralympic Gold Medallist
“I could tell the difference immediately – I was able to sleep on my side and the foam relieved the usual pressure. My morning hip pain has disappeared leaving me refreshed and ready for training every day . . . The Mammoth has now become a crucial part of my training regime and I wouldn’t be without it!” – Liz Yelling, Olympian and Commonwealth Games medallist
